A whirlwind of a week

A whirlwind of a week

Monday

The last couple of days have been so crazy. It all started on Monday where I had a chill day with my son until he fell into an accident. I got so overwhelmed and guilty that I couldn’t protect him. Luckily his bruises are almost healed and he was back on his feet in no time.

Tuesday

Tuesday I got an email about a phone interview I had Friday morning, just when I thought there was no hope left.

Wednesday

On Wednesday I had to bring my car into the repair shop so that I could continue on driving it the next 2 years. That meant waking up at 6.30am, driving to the next town an hour later and then wait a whole day till the car was fixed. We did spend the morning having a hotel breakfast and continued on with shopping and a walk back home to my mums. Whilst my son was taking his afternoon nap which he had been procrastinating, I could finally breath out and relax.

Thursday

I got another interview call on Thursday which meant I got to meet my mum again so that she could watch my son. It went fairly well and we enjoyed an afternoon outside before we drove back home where I then colored her hair.

I actually got another call yesterday morning while I was at the health station with my son for his last baby vaccine. Another store wanted me in for an interview and we settled for today at 1pm.

Friday

Starting off today fairly early at 7.30am, I had breakfast and got ready for my first interview. Around noon I had to drive, yet again to my mums to pick her up so that she could watch my son while I went to my second interview.

It has literally felt like I’ve been running around everywhere and meeting so many new people in such a short amount of time. On top of that I have another interview on Monday at a clothing store which I’m super excited about. But first I have to take this weekend to rewind and unplug. My feet are killing me and I’m in desperate need of a lot of sleep.

Wish me luck!

I adore you when you finally arrive

I adore you when you finally arrive

Oh, sweet silence – how I’ve missed you. I adore you when you finally arrive, even though you might not stay as long as I wish.

Today started off early as per usual, though I did get to sleep in yesterday which was deeply needed. I did some last minute editing before I took my son out for a walk. Don’t underestimate the power of breathing in fresh air and changing your scenery once every day. It’s good to change wallpaper and see beyond the four walls of your own home. And I’m happy to announce that I finally think spring is coming. Right now the rain is washing away the remains of winter and giving fuel to threes and flowers arriving soon. I can’t wait to walk out in a summer dress and enjoy the sweet summer air.

Today on the other hand I have some errands to run. I’m the best at procrastinating because I don’t like to face my tasks head on. But when I finally do get the courage to deliver those CV’s personally, make that phone call, or drive to that auto mobile shop to get my car fixed, I feel great. I still have 14 CV’s left on my kitchen table who seek a new owner and hopefully a new job for me. But for today the mission is to go down to the postal office and send away a package. Call the auto shop and get a price for my car and hopefully also an appointment. On top of that I need to place an order for some hair products. Much to do, and no time to waste.

Hope you have a great start on your week!

The beginning of a mini holiday

The beginning of a mini holiday

The last three days I’ve been away on holiday. I already miss the holiday feeling, starting with a continual breakfast where you can (almost) have anything you want for breakfast. Then my own workout room awaited me since no one else seemed to be working out in the hotel. After that there was hours of fun & adventure in the city.

We drove down to Gothenburg on Sunday early afternoon. It took less than 4 hours as we switched on driving which was a relief. My son slept a long way down but woke up halfway there and started to get a little bit restless in the end. But for a 10 months old he did very well.

After checking in at 3 pm we went up to our room, settled in before we went out to the amusement park just around the corner. Unfortunately it was raining so heavily just as we turned the corner that we decided to go back to the hotel and call a cab. This would mean we would have to wait another 30 minutes and the park was already closing in less than 3 hours. So we made our way to our own car and drove down the street. With our luck we actually managed to take a wrong turn and a 2 minute drive turned in to 10 minutes. In the end we found a parking spot which we only payed 11 kroner (1 pound) for and with a walking distance we where at the park.

Such lovely lights and holiday feeling we got while walking through the park. We stopped to eat at a very cold restaurant but we had to fill our stomachs before we enjoyed the rest of the remaining time at the park. On our way back we stopped at a local food store before we took an early night in.

An eventful day with my favorite people

An eventful day with my favorite people

Here I am getting lost in the endless space called the world wide web. Because it truly is a big web you get cough up in. But suddenly a lightning thought hits me and I remember  I wanted to update you. Today was such an eventful day and spend with two of the handful of my favorite people.
For the longest time I’ve been wanting to go mini golfing and today we finally drove 30 minutes into the city and found a wonderful place. It was a bit crowded when we arrived but all the school kids who occupied the playground eventually left. And after lunch we slowly went our way to the park.

In deep concentration while figuring out how to make this shot. I actually ended up with 57 points in the end which is average but I did win the match between my mum and I.

6 pounds for 18 holes and an hour later we finished. Just in time before the rain started to pour down. Luckily the little one fell asleep just as we started our game and woke up just before we finished.

The sun only picked out a couple of hours in the early morning and afternoon before it turned quite cold and cloudy so I’m glad I wore something warmer. Not bad being a hijabi in Scandinavia when the summer is very bearable.

When your living room is looking like a playground

When your living room is looking like a playground

The last couple of days have been stressful. With a little crawler here at home you have to get extra alert. But now that I’ve finally bought some baby proofing it’s safer to crawl around. I never knew how fast you could get to places when you’re on your stomach. But it’s of course fun to explore everything new around you. My living room is definitely looking like a playground and my inner neat freak is freaking out a little, but I know everything will be nice and cleaned up again in the evening.

Yesterday was just super hectic. The day started off having to drive into the city early in the morning to try and fix a passport. Luckily I’m getting mine renewed but we have to find a different solution for the little one. At least I have today off so I might go shopping and hopefully I’ll be able to film another video for you.

Here are some snapshots for this week. Don’t forget to check by my YouTube channel where I try to upload as much as possible. I’ve also ordered some new equipment from Amazon so hopefully that will arrive soon. Fingers crossed.

Shades of Grey

Shades of Grey

It’s been two days since my fiasco with the car and it’s not going a 100% yet so I will take it to the repair shop tomorrow. Hopefully I will get home safely today. Nothing really exciting happening when you’re not going to work but I did finish filming another video which will go live on Monday at 12 p.m.

For the rest of day I’m going to relax, eat good food and enjoy the moment.

Worst morning ever

Worst morning ever

08.00 – My alarm goes off after hitting snooze way to many times – it’s inevitable, I have to get out of bed.
09.00 – Out the door 15 minutes before the usual time. Unfortunately it’s been snowing all night and my car is snowed in.
09.15 – I’ve finally finished shuffling enough snow to get me out of the drive way. Wheels start spinning and frustration keeps on building.
09.30 – I’m on the road, finally made it up the slippery road from the house, and now my windows are foggy. I can’t see anything, but I try gently to drive out on the road. I’m not going any more then 20 km/h in second gear up the hill before I decide it’s too dangerous.
09.35 – I stop by a bus stop and try fanatically to find a solution. My fan that usually get’s the car warm is broken and it doesn’t do anything. Fog is spreading all over to the back window and I’m stuck.
09.40 – I start crying, not seeing any solution. I’m less then 2 minutes from my house and I’m too afraid to drive back. I call my work and tell them I can’t come in today. After I hang up I get the worst panic attack and I feel as if I can’t breath.
10.15 – I’m back home and the car is parked. I’ve gathered myself but am still angry about the weather. I start shuffling the drive way in hopes to get out my frustration and don’t stop before the hour has passed.

Monday

Monday

Yes, the day has come again.. Monday. Good morning! It’s sunny and still a bit frosty outside and a new week has begun. My day already started off when the alarm clock rang at 6 am. There was really no point in going back to bed so I stayed up, drank my morning coffee in silence and ate breakfast. After this post I’ll be on my way to buy some DIY things that I want to get ahead of at home. I feel that spring is coming now that February almost is over and I thought it would be time to freshen up at home a little bit. Stay tuned!

Happy Monday, make the most of today!

My journay through 2013

My journay through 2013

I thought I’d do a throwback since I have some time on my hands I want to take a trip to memory land and remember what made 2013 so special. So let’s go back to the beginning..

New year’s – My family just flew home after spending the holiday’s in the cold north. And as new years snok upon us I had big hopes and expectations. And on that very night on new years I knew that 2013 would be great.

When you find your other half – After passing February 14th I found out that my long-lasting crush was more than just that. I started looking forward to the end of the first half of the year and started figuring out who I wanted to be.

Getting up when your down – After spending an amazing time in Germany with my Family for 3 weeks I came home getting devastated news, or so I though at that time. I had to learn how to push myself up from my own distractions. And I wouldn’t have made it without my best friend who has been there threw it all.

1st of August – The day I was dreading but also looking forward to. This would be a new start and a way for me to get a clean slate. This was the day I started working as an intern at my hairdresser salon where I’ve been working as a extra-help for the past year. Already the first day and hour at my new job I had customers, and now when I look back I’m glad I just threw myself in it.

18th birthday – The day I’ve been waiting for since I was 8. Finally I turned 18, but I was actually dreading the last few weeks before this day. I wanted to stop time and stay 17. The though of being 18 scared me even though I knew I would get a lot more freedom. The day came and it was a total disappointment. I tried not to have any expectations but I have to say it was really hard since I turned 18 and this only happens once and is supposed to be special. The day went by just as fast as it came. And after all the waiting since I was little it wasn’t all that.

26 of September – One month after my birthday and only 3 months after I had taken my first driving lesson I stood in front of my drivers test. I past With flying colors and I finally earned a bit more freedom.

Berlin 2013 – My second trip in 2013 was to Berlin for the 4th time with my best friend. It was planned a year before but only started to sink in the week before departure. We would be alone in a different country for 5 days. We had a blast and really got to know each other more as well as the city, Berlin.

Moving back home – In the mid of October I packed up my things at my mum’s house and moved back in to my childhood home. I knew this would give me more peace and room to breath.

Perfect end to a perfect year – The last trip of the year was more of a spontaneous one that only happened 4 weeks ago. My dad and I packed up our things and flew to America, more specific Florida. We stayed there a wonderful 7 days and ended the year flying into 2014 and also home again.

A reason to smile today

A reason to smile today

I passed the theory for my drivers test today. Finally I took it after dreading it for almost 6 months. I got 45 questions and you can only have 7 wrong answers. Luckily I only got 2 wrong answers but my heart was raising so fast when I was about to click finish and I was so scared I wouldn’t pass. But I did and I’m so happy right now. This is just one of the many reasons why I’m happy right now.
