Reminiscing over summer memories

Reminiscing over summer memories

It’s been a minute since I’ve written for you. To be honest I don’t know how to start again. But the longer I procrastinated the more I missed it.

The last you heard from me was when Ramadan was ending. I was genuinely sad that such a blessed month was leaving us, and I guess I was scared not to be able to continue on with my new habits after Ramadan had left. I took a 30 day cleanse from social media which I desperately needed and to this day I have still not installed Instagram on my phone – more on that in a later post.

I was one month in to a new job which I love. I now work in retail, a wish of mine came true to be able to work with what is my passion – clothes. Endless amount of clothes have been bought with personal discounts but I’m not complaining, I just have to keep my spending spree in check.

Throughout the summer I worked a lot which was just what I wanted after being home for such a long time with my son. I was also able to enjoy our hot Norwegian summer, and I actually mean hot. Never before have we Scandinavians had such a tropical weather. My mum and I were also in Italy which I will share with you in my coming posts.

That was a bit of a summer update for you even though we’re well into fall now, it being the beginning of October and all.

New memories are being created and a new chapter is upon us. I can’t wait to share my adventures with you again. I promise, it won’t be long until you hear from me again.

Already October

Already October

I can’t believe it’s already October and we only have a few months left of 2017. Where has the time gone? A question I ask myself every single day.

I’ve been pondering the last couple of days what to write but I couldnt find anything worth sharing. I’ve been working on my resume the last days and other then that I’ve just enjoyed being at home. I have to soak it all in before I go back to work, something I’m dreading but also looking forward to.

But this is my favorite time of year. Perfect weather and beautiful colors surrounding us.

Don’t lose your self respect

Don’t lose your self respect

self-respect
noun |
self-re·spect | self-ri-ˈspekt |
a proper respect for oneself as a human being

Don’t dress up to seek the admiration of other people.
The glances and looks or even stares.
Do you really want this?
You say you want respect but how can you get it,
when all you do is showing your beauty to the outside world for recognition.
You say you want to fall in love with your mind but you only display our body.

The yearly autumn flue

The yearly autumn flue

The last couple of days I've been roaming around at home, having 'Fuller House' as a background noise while I looked after my baby and myself. We've been sick since Monday, sneezing every two seconds, wrapped in blankets and wool clothes. Sleep is definitely the best medicine and hot lemon tea with honey.

On another note, my brother had his birthday on Tuesday so I tried myself out in the kitchen and made an (almost) vegan cake. Some ingredients I didn't even find in the store so I had to use my regular non vegan supplies.

Today we're back to drinking lemon tea, cuddling up on the sofa and trying to get rid of the yearly autumn flue.

Early morning walks

Early morning walks

I just love snuggling up in cozy jumpers and this has absolute been my favorite the last couple of days.

This was taken a couple of days back when we were out for a early (late) walk. It was actually before 12 o’clock which meant not too many people on the streets. So I made sure to take out my camera, set it up on the stroller and do a little photo shoot.

Jumper: Gina Tricot // Pants: Bik Bok // Shirt: Bik Bok // Scarf: Nelly.com

Before I forget there will be a new video up on my YouTube channel today at 14 pm. I’ll be taking a look at my old diaries and reading some of the stories from way back in the days.

Happy Sunday!

The last pieces of summer

The last pieces of summer

Our colorful terrace is finally done now that the winter is coming. Well, not quite yet but there isn’t much time left to enjoy our outdoor area. But I don’t mind, it was beautiful while it lasted. Spring will come again and I have learned much through this season of gardening.

We were so lucky to get a set of garden furniture from a family member which saved us a tone of money. And with a solar lamp having from the celling and a lighted candle the atmosphere gets even more cozier.

But I know I’ll enjoy this place even when it gets colder. A blanket and a hot cup of coco is all I need.

Lighted candles and cozy jumpers

Lighted candles and cozy jumpers

It’s been a minute since I’ve been back here. Lately I haven’t really known what to write or share about. My life goes on with the same routine every day. My little one is almost eight months now, and I can’t believe where the time has gone. I only have three months left of this – being a stay at home mum. Even though it can become a bit too much at times I know I’m going to miss it.
Fall is upon us and I can already feel the colder air and the change of colors on the leaves. In my opinion fall is the best time of the year. Getting to snuggle up in cozy jumpers and warm socks. Drinking hot coco while enjoying the early evenings with lighted candles. There is no better time.

Recently I’ve started a new project, trying to expand my creativity and challenge myself. After buying way to much fabric cos I’m still new to this area, I have slowly begun. What I have learned, especially when I don’t master the craft perfectly yet, it is extra important to divide your time on the project. Do not to rush yourself and try not to do everything at once. Even though you wish you could see the result right away. When you then do spend time on your new project, it will probably be a few hours and you won’t give up when things go wrong. Just don’t go too long without doing anything. Because then it will probably be set aside and after many years and a spring cleaning you will find it in the trash.

“Creativity is intelligent having fun”

Have fun,

That feeling..

That feeling..

.. when you take of your bra, panties and those socks, and put on your comfy pjs. Then you know it’s time to snuggle up in bed or in front of a great movie on TV.

After a hectic work day from 10 am to 18 pm, where I was stressed literally the whole day, I can finally say that I have almost found my peace. It’s so hard for me to stress down after a day like today because my brain and body are at a 100 whiles I want to be at 0, or maybe 0,5.

After work it was straight into town for a dinner where we got a lovely home cooked meal. It suited me very well that someone else made the food after a long day.

Slowly I will find my way to the bed since it’s already past midnight, nearly turning 2 am. Good night 🌙

Casual

Casual

Today I had a very chill and casual day out doing some errands and spending quality time with my mum. I wanted my outfit to have the same casual feel so I paired a nice flannel shirt with and oversized sweater and some boyfriend jeans.
