Can you believe it’s already April? My winter shoes are finally packed away and the mountain of snow outside our driveway is finally melting away. I hope I can keep my boots packed away until November and fingers crossed – spring is on it’s way!
I know I haven’t posed anything for a while. It often becomes too much and I get overwhelmed by the weekly things I want to accomplish. Unfortunately my blog is the one suffering from all of this. But I do have to say I’ve missed the typing sound while my fingers glid over the keyboard. I defiantly want to continue on writing and sharing my journey here as well. At the moment tough I do upload twice a week on my YouTube channel – once on Sunday where I do fashion, beauty or life related videos and once on Wednesday where I upload a weekly vlog. But I must say that the bar is set up high for us beginners and when I see all of these bloggers doing the most out of an instagram profile, I never feel like my contact is good enough. But in time, insha’Allah, I will get there.
For now this has to do – using my son’s stroller as a tripod and setting my camera on self timer mode. Now I can’t wait to get my head down on my pillow and get a good nights sleep.
I’ve been dreading this – sitting in front of the keyboard and try to type something together. To be honest, I haven’t felt inspired even though I’ve been thinking about writing, every – single – day. I’m craving some new inspiration & motivations on how I can make this blog even better. Any ideas? Please leave a comment below.
Tonight we had our first date night after almost two years (!). A date alone that is, with a babysitter at home, aka my mum, watching our son. We drove 10 minutes to our local cinema and watched Black Panther. I’m usually not enthusiastic about marvel movies, but with this one I just got a good feeling. I’ve also heard that it was received very well by other social media influencers.
So if you’re into action, si-fi and a little drama, you should definitely go see this one. Here’s my outfit of the night.
At the moment I’m sending out my resume, in deep search for a new job. When I started high school, at 16 years old, I never imagined becoming a hairdresser. I actually wanted to go design & textile and then major in sewing and designing clothes. I can’t say I regret my decision, because having a high demanded job which I can apply anywhere in the world is great. But I can’t see myself in this business for the rest of my life. I can’t see myself at my workplace because I don’t see a future there. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t believe I can grow into a higher position there.
Life’s too short not to be doing what you love. And it’s time to implement what I say into actions.
These pictures were taken a while back when I filmed my autumn try on haul (link). Though I won’t be wearing light pink pants anymore – I do have the same pants in a dark burgundy color which is so perfect for this time a year.

I just love snuggling up in cozy jumpers and this has absolute been my favorite the last couple of days.
This was taken a couple of days back when we were out for a early (late) walk. It was actually before 12 o’clock which meant not too many people on the streets. So I made sure to take out my camera, set it up on the stroller and do a little photo shoot.

Before I forget there will be a new video up on my YouTube channel today at 14 pm. I’ll be taking a look at my old diaries and reading some of the stories from way back in the days.
Today was spend mostly outside on our beautiful self built terrace. I finally got all my flowers sorted and planted and I’m so happy with the result. Down below you can see a little sneak peak in the background. Yesterday I also put up some bird food and already this morning we saw three little birdies having their breakfast, one mother feeding her two babies. As we speak they are actually back probably getting their dinner.
I recently also purchased a self controller to take pictures with so I won’t need my self timer and stand and pose for 3-10 seconds before it goes off. Here is some of the result from the pictures I took this week.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
There is really no reason not to smile when the weekend is just around the corner. I’m spending today with family and I’m going to try to take a break from social media this weekend, except maybe posting once.. or twice.
A little outfit shoot we had the other day. Still trying to be comfortable in front of the camera again. And I’m trying out different editing styles, but I can’t really decide on what I actually like. What do you think?

So I finally finished a skirt I started on making a while back. The only thing was that I made it too thigh and i was hard to move in it. Now I finally fixed it with the help from a YouTuber. She gave me the brilliant idea to make a slit in the back and sew in a triangle piece of fabric. I had some complications with the execution which made it way too frustrating to sit down and sew. I took a beat and came back to the project, but whenever I did my sewing machine would pull down the fabric and tangle it all up, making holes in it. When I noticed my machine wasn’t willing to work with my, I hand stitched the fabric but this wasn’t the optimal solution. I finally sat down yesterday for one final attempt. And to my surprise, it worked! With a new needle in the machine and a lot of patience, I finally finished it.
My machine: Husqvarna VIKING H|CLASS
Fairly simple to maneuver when you get the hang of it. I recently also looked in the manual which, to my surprise, was a huge help. I found out that I could actually do an overlook seem with the machine. It’s nothing like an actually overlook machine but it does the job, with a much nicer finish than before.

As many of you may, or may not know, I am an owner of a YouTube channel. Now I’ve had this a good while now, and I must say it’s not getting the attention and affection it so badly wants from the world.
Now I love making video’s and talking about things that interests me because I have fun doing it. My channel is all about fashion, beauty and a bit of music. I would love for you to check it out if you haven’t already. And if you’re also a YouTuber let’s be friends or just subscribe to each other, help one another out a bit to get more ratings, views and comments, just like her on WordPress.
