Troisième jour à Paris

Troisième jour à Paris

13th of March 2019 – Shopping & flying home

Our last day had come upon us. After a small breakfast we finished packing and checked out at 11.30 am. We had the whole afternoon because our flight was scheduled to 8.30 pm. We found our way out of our hotel to the nearest street and started walking. There were shops after shops and I tried to visit as many as I could. I ended up buying a black scarf and a oversized denim jacket at a Parisian shop. We also stopped to get some macrons which taste delicious.

We stopped by Zara, H&M, Mango and other high street stores before we settled for lunch at 1 pm after it started to rain. We had our last proper meal in France with success. Time flew by and before we knew it, it was time to make our way back to our hotel to gather our suitcases and head to the airport.

This getaway felt surprisingly longer than only 3 days. I guess I also had someone to look forward to seeing at home which made the departure much easier.

Summer is coming

Summer is coming

Today was such a beautiful day. It did say it would rain today but the skies cleared up and the sun came out to shine. I went out for a walk around 1 p.m and took my time, looking at the beauty that we can soon call summer. After an hour and a nice long trip around our area I found myself home again. The little one slept the second half of our stroll and was well raised when we arrived home.

I had to stop and take some snapshots as well. Even got up close to a butterfly. One of the most beautiful, tiny creatures. And the colors of the beautiful flowers bring me so much joy. Summer is coming and you can finally see it.

Before I die

Before I die

As we grow older we often forget the dreams we had as little children. Dreams that never were too big for your imagination. But as you grow up you see the world for what it truly is. And you finally understand why Peter Pan never wanted to grow up. You start living a life you never saw yourself having. And those dreams once dreamed become a faded memory. But don’t forget them because they are here to make us feel invisible.

My greatest dream may be to love the love of my life till the day I die. And letting the world remember us by attaching a lock to a love bridge with our initials on it. Maybe we’ll even live in London. Have a picnic with our children in Hyde Park. Or watch the sunrise at the beach together.

And even though I’m not the most spontaneous person, I would love to buy a random ticket for a flight or throw a dart at a map and travel to that destination. Maybe even learn the language of that country fluently. And when I don’t spend all my money on traveling I would go on a shopping spree without a budge, or better yet have my own clothing line.

Right now it may seem impossible but hold on to the dreams you once dreamed.

First autumn day

First autumn day

I’ve been looking at this blank space for a while now. It’s been empty the last couple of weeks – and it’s been empty in my head too. I don’t know how to fill this space. I don’t know how to start even though I’m aching to write again. I want to be an inspiration, share my thoughts and mind with you again.

It’s September 1st, summer is officially over, even the weather can agree on that. It’s windy, it’s cold and rainy. What I have learned is that time is always moving. We cannot stop it even though we want to capture a moment and stay in it. That is why you have to live in the moment. Don’t let it pass you, don’t feel the need to document or capture every other second on a picture. Sometimes it’s better to live and let go.
