Here I am getting lost in the endless space called the world wide web. Because it truly is a big web you get cough up in. But suddenly a lightning thought hits me and I remember I wanted to update you. Today was such an eventful day and spend with two of the handful of my favorite people.
For the longest time I’ve been wanting to go mini golfing and today we finally drove 30 minutes into the city and found a wonderful place. It was a bit crowded when we arrived but all the school kids who occupied the playground eventually left. And after lunch we slowly went our way to the park.
In deep concentration while figuring out how to make this shot. I actually ended up with 57 points in the end which is average but I did win the match between my mum and I.
This is a perfect breakfast or an even better post workout meal. Lots of protein, and who doesn’t love pancakes? I found some left over protein powder in my cabinet and to be honest I have to continue making some pancakes the next couple of days because my powder has almost gone out of date. These turned out so good so I don’t mind eating pancakes the next couple of days.
♥ 1 dl flour ♥ 2-3 dl milk ♥ 1 egg ♥ 1-3 scoops of protein powder (depending on how strong you want the tast to be) ♥ Vanilla powder ♥ Margarine for frying
1. Mix all the dry ingredients inna bowl.
2. Add 1 egg to the mix and a little bit of the milk and start stirring with a whisk.
3. Continue on adding the rest of the milk to a fine batter.
4. Heat up a pan and add a generous amount of margarine before you fry out your pancakes.
Add any topping you’d like & enjoy!
The 9th month of the lunar calendar is the month of Ramadan.
The month where the Quran was revealed in year 610.
The month where the doors of heaven are open and the doors of hell are closed.
"Recite in the name of your Lord who created -
created man from a clinging substance.
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -
Who taught by the pen -
taught men which he knew not".
Make the most of this month and have a blessed Ramadan!
I haven’t been this tired in a long time and I should probably be in bed getting some rest. But I just couldn’t end today without telling you about Witt’s slow juicer.
I recently received a slow juicer which I tried out this morning with the little fruit we had left laying around. Two oranges and one kiwi made an awesome fresh juice. It’s a big machine but you can make amazing fresh juices, smoothies or even baby food. You get all your vitamins and maximum nutrition from you ingredients, and instead of blending or centrifugation the juicer cold presses the fruit and vegetables.
Now I just have to go out and buy more fruit and veggies, cause I definitely want to use this more.
To be honest today hasn’t been the best day. Exhausting in some ways but most of all tiering. I’m absolutely ready to fall asleep any minute now but before I do I wanted to share my blessings instead of my complains. Because there is truly so much we can be grateful for each and every day.
When you see your child smiling
The best feeling in the world is when you see your baby smiling back at you, and you haven’t even done anything, just shown them your face. It melts my heart right down to the ground.
We often take our health for granted and only realize how lucky we are when we get a cold or get sick. There are so many people suffering from so much more and it can be a daily battle to get to the next day. So being well and healthy is something we shouldn’t take lightly.
Food on the table
It’s amazing that we can fill up our fridge whenever we want and we only need to take a couple of steps into the kitchen to get water. Imagine struggling everyday, not knowing if you’ll find food or water the next day. We should always keep reminding ourself how blessed we are.
Family and friends
Lastly I’m grateful for my amazing friends who have supported me and been there through it all. They are less than a handful but I can truly say they have been there through it all. And my family, especially my mother, has been a huge rock for me to lean on whenever I need.
Before you complain about what you don’t have or how awful your life is, take a step back and look at the big picture. You’ll probably see that you have more than enough so count your blessings and not your complains.
