The best feeling in the world

..is when you can check off your to-do list one by one.

The day started off an hour earlier then planned and after only six hours of sleep with a list that was half a mile long. I did make a very specific list the night before, hour by hour, instead of just listing things up and not knowing when I would do them. This can be a great way to plan out your day in advanced, especially if you want a lot of stuff done.

My original plan was to go back to sleep from 10 am to 12, but after an intens leg workout my energy level was up in the sky and there was no way I would fall back to sleep.

I got a bit delayed midday but at the end I managed to pull through.  With a one hour nap in between it was safe to say that my energy level was running low at the end of the night. The next couple of days I just have to continue on with my work and try to catch up on some sleep as well.

Spring cleaning

Every year I start my spring with a closet cleaning. I’ve had an urge to do this the last couple of days and today I finally found the time. While the little one was sleeping, I could at last go and clean out my closet. I found clothes I knew I would never wear again, clothes that were worn out and had done their dead, and clothes that I’ve bought but never really worn, outside my own home of course. I’m sure I’ve still got things I know I’ll never wear but just don’t have the heart to throw away just yet.

It’s like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders. Now I also have an excuse to go shopping again, cause some of the things I threw out I do need again just in a bigger size. Tomorrow I will continue on with the rest of the house, but that’s more washing and scrubbing cabinets and floors. Wish me luck!

Happy Saturday

Ok, so it’s the morning again. I said I would post several times yesterday and somehow my feet only found their way to the couch and then my bed between 10 & 11 o’clock. I can’t remember when I fell into bed, barely changing into my pjs. I was so tired, so exhausted. I didn’t even know it. I think this is the first time I’m actually sitting down and just breathing. Listening to the silence around me. And some footsteps in the distance.  Today will hopefully be a nice and calm day, where I can check of some things on my o so famous ‘to-do’ list. That list will never end but on the agenda today are only some small things I have to do.

To do

I always feel some sort of guilt when I spend Sunday on the couch doing nothing, like absolutely nothing. It’s hard to shut off your brain and allow yourself one day, just one freaking day to yourself.

I have a list of things I should do if I would find the motivation but there is none. The list goes on from blogpost to video making and cleaning the apartment. But you know what, I only get one of these days once in a while. I’ve worked 5 days, my shoulder is in pain after this weeks customers so I think I need to allow myself a break. My list can wait and even though I havn’t stept a foot outside, I’m content on my couch. I’m going to stop feeling sad and sorry for myself because it’s not getting me anywhere. I’m going enjoy today till tomorrow comes and a new work week is on.

Last-minute planning

So I actually planned on a late workout outside this evening but the thought of sitting inside right now suits me very well. The fall breeze is already here and because I don’t have any good clothing for outside workouts, I think I have to sit this one out. Though I think I’m going to be planted in my seat in front of the screen the next hour or so. I have several last-minute planning to do before my vacation officially starts on Monday. And if you know me, you know that I like to have everything set and ready a good time before I leave. Like I’ve mention before, my luggage is already packet, only a few more details left. Two more days at work and then I have a 3 week-long vacation ahead of me. Oh, I can’t wait for Friday to come any sooner.

I’ve packed and flown so many times before but every time I think about things I might have forgotten, so I think I’m going to make a list over things I’m taking so that nothing goes missing. Tomorrow I’ve got an appointment to fix my nails and on Monday a little last-minute pampering on the agenda. Hopefully the weather will agree with us on our holiday cause my luggage is packet with dresses and short shorts. We’ll see.. *crossing my finger*.

Now I’m off, my bed is calling me soon.
