New years eve is always this big fuss and you’d think it will be a huge moment when the clock strikes twelve but most often than not it’s just another minute passing us by. Suddenly we’ve past a decade and looking at the fireworks welcoming a new year. Beginnings are always nice because they mean a fresh and maybe even different start for so many. But at the end of the day it’s just a new day that welcomes us. We are lucky to witness it and we should count our luck and be grateful for another year.

Do you have any new years resolutions – if so what are they?

My miracle

My miracle

Both my babies are in bed now, even though it happened to get a bit earlier for my son. But since he missed his afternoon nap today he was eagerly asleep once we put him down. It’s been 11 days since our little girl arrived and the days are slowly flying by. My due date was just four days ago but I’m so glad she came early. I don’t know what I would have done if I’d go another minute of being pregnant. I’m enjoying every moment of being a mom of two, trying to find our new routine and having lots of family time. I know a labor & delivery story is still missing from this page and my YouTube, but they are in the works. In the mean time let me reminisces of the things I don’t really miss from my pregnancy.

5 Things I don’t miss from being pregnancy

  1. Itching all over my growing belly
  2. Not having any clothes that fit properly
  3. Seeing new stretch marks
  4. Not being able to go an hour without using the bathroom
  5. Having extreme back pain at the end of the day

With that being said, I’m never going to be ungrateful for the miracle I have in my life. After nine long and painful months, she is finally here and I’m so lucky and thankful.

The last pieces of summer

The last pieces of summer

Our colorful terrace is finally done now that the winter is coming. Well, not quite yet but there isn’t much time left to enjoy our outdoor area. But I don’t mind, it was beautiful while it lasted. Spring will come again and I have learned much through this season of gardening.

We were so lucky to get a set of garden furniture from a family member which saved us a tone of money. And with a solar lamp having from the celling and a lighted candle the atmosphere gets even more cozier.

But I know I’ll enjoy this place even when it gets colder. A blanket and a hot cup of coco is all I need.

When your living room is looking like a playground

When your living room is looking like a playground

The last couple of days have been stressful. With a little crawler here at home you have to get extra alert. But now that I’ve finally bought some baby proofing it’s safer to crawl around. I never knew how fast you could get to places when you’re on your stomach. But it’s of course fun to explore everything new around you. My living room is definitely looking like a playground and my inner neat freak is freaking out a little, but I know everything will be nice and cleaned up again in the evening.

Yesterday was just super hectic. The day started off having to drive into the city early in the morning to try and fix a passport. Luckily I’m getting mine renewed but we have to find a different solution for the little one. At least I have today off so I might go shopping and hopefully I’ll be able to film another video for you.

Here are some snapshots for this week. Don’t forget to check by my YouTube channel where I try to upload as much as possible. I’ve also ordered some new equipment from Amazon so hopefully that will arrive soon. Fingers crossed.

Have a beautiful Friday & happy weekend!

A good day

A good day

It’s been a long day and I can’t wait to fall into bed and have a good nights sleep, or at least a couple of hours before I have to wake up again and feed the little one.

Yesterday was filled with tears and a lot of comfort after a painful vaccine shot. The little one got a fever too which didn’t make things any better. Luckily a lot of sleep and food helped with the problem. It was a tough decision to make whether or not to go through with the vaccine program. In the end we decided on one shot which we felt was more than enough for that little body.

Today on the other hand was much better. Baby was back to normal with lots of smiles and talks. We enjoyed ourself out in the sun and even took a trip to our local shopping center. With a new toy and some things for myself it’s safe to say we had a good day all together.

Spring cleaning

Spring cleaning

Every year I start my spring with a closet cleaning. I’ve had an urge to do this the last couple of days and today I finally found the time. While the little one was sleeping, I could at last go and clean out my closet. I found clothes I knew I would never wear again, clothes that were worn out and had done their dead, and clothes that I’ve bought but never really worn, outside my own home of course. I’m sure I’ve still got things I know I’ll never wear but just don’t have the heart to throw away just yet.

It’s like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders. Now I also have an excuse to go shopping again, cause some of the things I threw out I do need again just in a bigger size. Tomorrow I will continue on with the rest of the house, but that’s more washing and scrubbing cabinets and floors. Wish me luck!

Relax

Relax

One problem that I have is that I don’t know how to relax. Somehow I have it in my brain that I always have to do something. I can’t just take a breather. And if I do take a minute or two to relax.. and just be, before I know it I’ll be thinking about the next thing I feel I have to do. But that’s the thing, I don’t really have anything I have to do. I guess it’s just all in my head and that’s something I have to work on. Well, now that the little one is sleeping  I have to try and sprint to the shower and freshen up a little. Who knows when the next feeding session will arrive or the next diaper change will occur. Little things like brushing your teeth suddenly get forgotten and you get used to seeing yourself in sweatpants with no make-up on. Wish me luck.

First outing

First outing

Evening has arrived and it’s soon time for me to welcome a good nights sleep. Luckily baby is feed, changed and asleep. And I can finally say, with a big smile one my face, that we had our first outing today. I have been so nervous about going out alone but it has been a real accomplishment getting over that fear. Even though it might not seem as a big deal to some, for me this was something that made me a bit anxious. Whether it was baby suddenly starting to cry when we were out or the fact that I didn’t know if I should carry the stroller down the three steps we have in front of the house first. Well, this and more where thoughts that went through my head before we finally, after so many days inside, got out. Hopefully, tomorrow will be as eventful as today.

At the moment

At the moment

Between diaper changing and feeding there isn’t a lot of free time to what I used to be able to do in a day. I’m lucky if I’m able to get one set of laundry going and get the dishes from last night out of the way. A shower is also highly appreciated cause that’s a little ‘me time’ squeezed in to the day.

I can’t wait to get a normal routine going again but right now it’s a bit difficult cause I never know when the little one wants food. Which can vary from every hour to every three hours. Anyway, as for now I’ll count myself lucky if I get one blog post a week out, but I’m going to try my best to write more then that.
