Black Panther Date Night

Black Panther Date Night

I’ve been dreading this – sitting in front of the keyboard and try to type something together. To be honest, I haven’t felt inspired even though I’ve been thinking about writing, every – single – day. I’m craving some new inspiration & motivations on how I can make this blog even better. Any ideas? Please leave a comment below.

Tonight we had our first date night after almost two years (!). A date alone that is, with a babysitter at home, aka my mum, watching our son. We drove 10 minutes to our local cinema and watched Black Panther. I’m usually not enthusiastic about marvel movies, but with this one I just got a good feeling. I’ve also heard that it was received very well by other social media influencers.

So if you’re into action, si-fi and a little drama, you should definitely go see this one. Here’s my outfit of the night.

Collateral beauty

Love – Time  Death
“We long for love, we wish we had more time, and we fear death.”

A universal connection we all share. And this relevant subject can touche anyone. Behind the movie is a sad and emotional story. But I do not want to talk about the storyline of the film, but rather what it represents and what it can teach us.

We have all lost something in our life. A loved one, a friend or maybe ourself. It’s a natural part of life but most of us would rather not speak about that vital part of life. It’s scary. And we cannot go around every day thinking that this might be our last day, but we should be more aware that it can be. Life is not fair. Some people live to see hundred years and others don’t even pass the age of six. Some die because of a disease and others of natural causes.

We don’t give life and we don’t take it, we only live it. It’s cruel and unfair this journey of life. And when it ends those who are left are the once who are hurting.
So try and find beauty in meaningful moments in a bad circumstance.

3 favorite Christmas movies

3 favorite Christmas movies

I’m not that huge fan of all the original Christmas movies, especially the crazy once where there is animation (except of course, The polar Express). I guess I was just raised that way and through the years I found my own Christmas must see movies, that I watch every year. On the top of that list is of course, The polar Express. It’s my absolute favorite Christmas movie of all time. It’s such brilliant movie and even though my friend mocked it yesterday while we where watching it I couldn’t care less. Nothing that anyone has ever said bad about that movie can bother me, because for me it’s the perfect Christmas movie, it’s always been and will always be the perfect Christmas movie. So now that I’ve made it clear that The polar Express is my favorite I want to talk about two other favorites.

So I watched #3 a couple of weeks ago with my father since we have a Christmas calendar on our television where we get 1 free movie throughout Christmas. Both of us have never seen 4 Christmases and it really did sound remotely fun. Even though I’ve always jumped over that movie whenever I saw it in our archive. But since it was free there could simple be no loss and no harm done. And boy did I miss out on a great movie the last couple of years. So since this movie is New to the “must see” – list I bet you it’s going to be seen next year again. It was a keeper, and hilariously funny. absolutely, and who doesn’t like Reese Witherspoon. Can’t really say much about the other actor because I quit frankly don’t adore him as much.

Now to the 2nd of must see holiday movies. And boy is this a holiday movie for the books. I love the movie The Holiday and ever since I’ve gotten my hands on the movie I couldn’t stop watching it. I do not believe I’ve gone one Christmas without watching it. Even if I have to watch it in another language, which I did. I had to watch it in German once, which was different and not the best translating but it was the best I could do then and there. It’s the most sweet and romantic Christmas love story and knocks out Love actually right from the start.

#1 The polar Express

#2 The holiday

#3 Four Christmases

The great Gatsby

The great Gatsby

ENCHANTING. CHARISMATIC. BRILLIANT.

the_great_gatsby_movie-wide

“The Great Gatsby” is a dramatic movie with diverse scenes with a light on the many aspects we occupy in our life. It’s not another Hollywood movie with great shooting scenes. But it shows a different side to how people are and can be driven by love, hate or money. The greed we can get, the disire for power, for more. It’s a wonderful love story worth to watch.

We take a part of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Long Island-set novel, where Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Soon enough, however, Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby’s nouveau riche existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await. (Source: iMDb)

Day 8: Dietlhofer see

Day 8: Dietlhofer see

The day started of by waking up way to early for a Saturday let alone being on holiday. But I did have a lovely breakfast as always and in the early afternoon the whole family went to a lake. Today I stayed on familiar grounds though, in other words there was no swimming for me today. I hope my tan is getting along cause that’s one of the main things on my to-do list this summer.

After our stay at the lake we went to get some ice cream and yet again I ordered a “Früchteeisbecher“.

In the evening we had a lovely dinner outside and finished of the day with watching “Ice Age 4“.

My weekend

My weekend

This weekend was one of the better ones in a long, long time. It all started on Friday evning when one of my best friends came over and we just sat outside with a bottle of wine and a lot of chatching up to do. I was suppost to cut my friends hair as well that evning, but because he came after we’de opened the second bottle we discided to drop it. Who knows how that could have turned out…?

After a lot of talking and simple laughing at the littlest things we made our way up to join some other friends where the evning countinued late into dark. Therefor Saturday was turned into a sleep-in day to re-inforce my strength for my first BBQ this year at my friends house. I stayed over at her’s that night and mostly for the rest of Sunday. We found eachother back at my house in the evning again where we went out for a movie night with some friends.

I stayed out way to late and got less than 5h of sleep, but I can only blame myself. On the top of everything I had my first of three exam days today. But I’ll give you those details later.

Now I’ve got to catch up on some sleep..
