Weekends never last

Weekends never last

I was babysitting this furry ball this weekend and I must say, even though I love the little energy bomb she is, I now know that I’m so not ready to handle a dog. She is so sweet and innocent but always needing someone to play with and having all the attention – such a beauty queen. I must say that she was quit scared of our cat. Safe to say there was a little whining from the fur ball and a couple of growls from the boss aka our little sweet cat but as long as they held their distance it went fine.

My brother came out for a visit today and because he doesn’t live so far away now. A perfect way for us to make an effort to see each other more. Everyone acting so busy with their job and studying that you almost forget the people who’ve been around you your whole life. It was really good to see him again, and after a hair cut on the house we made some lunch and went from a long walk with Milli. The night sneaked up on us shortly and after 1,5 hours outside it was time to say goodbye.

My evening is also going to an end because I’m feeling way to tired to stay up. So much planned for tomorrow, but we’ll see if I’ll manage it all. Last day off before I have to go back to work on Tuesday so I’m in no way going to stress.

Day 4: Dittelhoffersee

Day 4: Dittelhoffersee

Today’s trip went to Weilheim again where we actually wanted to have a swim/tanning day at the beach. But the sun couldn’t decide whether to come out or stay in, so after 1 short hour the trip went into the city again. I finally got my workout shoes. This time from Adidas for ‘only’ 119 €, but I did get 10 € discount. They’ll last at least 1000 km the salesman said so now I just have to start to run.

Unfortunately my camera skills didn’t come to use today other then to get one good picture..

The night went to an hour sleep in the evening, dinner and then a late night walk/run. My new shoes were absolutely amazing and really gives me the comfort I need when walking and running. I also got to see the sunset, and what a beautiful picture God paints every night. It gets me every time and I couldn’t help but to stare and of course pull out my phone and take some pictures.

Day 16: Lazy Sunday

Day 16: Lazy Sunday

Unfortantly this was my last full day in Germany. Even though we’re leaving late tomorrow I know the day is going to go to packing and travelling. I’ve already started my pre-packing and note to myself, “do not buy too much on holiday. You’re suitcase isn’t getting any bigger and neither is your purse, so save yourself the troubles and do not shop so much”. Now that, that is said and I will hopefully remember it till next time I want to tell you about my day.

It started off by sleeping in and having a nice and relaxed morning. At noon my mum and I went out with the car cause we wanted to see the last of Germany so we first went to the “Ammer” and then up “Hoher Peissenberg” where we had ice cafe. The evening went to spending some last-minute family time.

Day 13: Epic

Day 13: Epic

Jumped in my workout clothes today as well and cycled 20k on the bike again. But first I ran some errands and around 3 pm I was on my way to Hohenpeissenberg again. Didn’t have a E-bike today so it was a “real” workout. We, my mum and I, had a route planned out which went from Peiting till the next town and then up a hill where we planned to eat and drink something. It took us 2 hours before we were there and I was totally exhausted at the end. Since it was such a big hill we pushed our bikes most of the way and tried to find shortcuts but it was mostly through woods and fields.

Got such a great feeling when I was on the top and we had a great view as well – it made it all worth wild. On the top I had a bear and something “Bayrish” to eat just to strengthen myself again.

It was such a great feeling going down the hill again, just to see the most incredible view and enjoying everything.

But before we were all the way down again we stopped to say greet some family and they also had a tractor which I got to drive. It was so epic and one of the most fun things I’ve done in my life. I also drove a really small and old one, and this bad boy.

Day 12: Full workout day

Day 12: Full workout day

The day started off with way too little sleep and a lot of back and forth cause I needed a bike. At last after being to a family friend to fix a pump then to two sport stores just to find the first one closed we finally found a bike. And not just any bike but a electronic one. It helps you to cycle Eco friendly, standard or high which is most suited for hills. If you don’t like any of these settings you just go to no assistants. It was so much fun though and when we finally were on the way the sun was shinning and I got my workout and tan all in one. My mum and I went to Hohenpeissenberg, had a good talk and something to cool us down with.

Day 11: Beach & sunset

Day 11: Beach & sunset

It’s safe to say that it was about 30 degrees today, that’s also why I didn’t go to the beach before 3 pm. It was so hot but so nice as well. I’m trying to charge up with as much sun as possible and enjoying every moment! In the evening I went for a walk because I wanted to see the sunset and ended the day with watching Step up 3.

Day 10: One week left

Day 10: One week left

DSC_1555
In exactly one week I will be on my way home again, or better said I will be home. But lets not think about that.

I had a wonderful day today starting off by finally being able to sleep in. At half past 11 I woke up and had my
breakfast which continued with a one hour walk and a little work out. Not long afterwards my cousin and uncle came and I finally had my last “customer” on this vacation. After cutting my uncles hair, my mum, cousin and myself went into town and ran some urged errands. In the evening we met up with my mother’s ante and had some ice cream at “Eis Cafe Pinocchio”.

Day 9: Staffelsee & ootd

Day 9: Staffelsee & ootd

Yet again the whole family made its way out to a lake. It was quit pleasant to be honest and I even went in. Had no intention to do so but it simply got to warm just sitting and boiling in the sun. Later we all went to the “beergarten” just beside the beach and had dinner. I finally got my half a liter of german beer and a nice and big “bretzln”. We’re finishing off the evening with coffee and cake in Granny’s “wintergarten”. What the rest of the evening will bring only time will tell.

Day 8: Dietlhofer see

Day 8: Dietlhofer see

The day started of by waking up way to early for a Saturday let alone being on holiday. But I did have a lovely breakfast as always and in the early afternoon the whole family went to a lake. Today I stayed on familiar grounds though, in other words there was no swimming for me today. I hope my tan is getting along cause that’s one of the main things on my to-do list this summer.

After our stay at the lake we went to get some ice cream and yet again I ordered a “Früchteeisbecher“.

In the evening we had a lovely dinner outside and finished of the day with watching “Ice Age 4“.
