I adore you when you finally arrive

I adore you when you finally arrive

Oh, sweet silence – how I’ve missed you. I adore you when you finally arrive, even though you might not stay as long as I wish.

Today started off early as per usual, though I did get to sleep in yesterday which was deeply needed. I did some last minute editing before I took my son out for a walk. Don’t underestimate the power of breathing in fresh air and changing your scenery once every day. It’s good to change wallpaper and see beyond the four walls of your own home. And I’m happy to announce that I finally think spring is coming. Right now the rain is washing away the remains of winter and giving fuel to threes and flowers arriving soon. I can’t wait to walk out in a summer dress and enjoy the sweet summer air.

Today on the other hand I have some errands to run. I’m the best at procrastinating because I don’t like to face my tasks head on. But when I finally do get the courage to deliver those CV’s personally, make that phone call, or drive to that auto mobile shop to get my car fixed, I feel great. I still have 14 CV’s left on my kitchen table who seek a new owner and hopefully a new job for me. But for today the mission is to go down to the postal office and send away a package. Call the auto shop and get a price for my car and hopefully also an appointment. On top of that I need to place an order for some hair products. Much to do, and no time to waste.

Hope you have a great start on your week!

Sabr, sabr, and more sabr

Sabr, sabr, and more sabr

Patience. Such a sweet word which we all want more of. When we don’t receive the things we’ve wanted for the longest time or when things don’t go our way, we forget that God tests us with sabr.

Patience is bitter but sweet because when we receive our greatest wish we feel so satisfied. We know that all the time waiting was worth it, because God has given us an even greater gift than what we could imagine.

Patience is hard because we’re looking forward to something that we feel we need or are suppost to get but when we don’t, we always start asking why. Imagine if we’d get everything we wished for right at the moment we asked for it. We would stop being appreciative, even more so than we already are today.

We might even wish for something that isn’t good for us and never will be. We might want something that will never reach us even if it was right in front of us. We have to keep our trust and belief in God. He has it all planed out in the greatest way and He knows what’s good for you and what isn’t.

Keep on praying and never, ever lose hope in God.

Sweet pancakes

Sweet pancakes

I haven’t had that many cravings during my pregnancy other then the occasional chocolate, ice cream and carrot.. yes, lots of carrots lately. But thats not what I wanted to share. My new favorite food is actually banana pancakes.

I don’t know who came up with this cleaver and easy meal but I first tasted it after  Blogilates shared the recipe. I did struggle with flipping the pancake and getting it done on both side but after some tries and fails I finally found out what works the best. The best part is that you only need two ingredients, amazing right! It’s super healthy and they’re already sweet so you don’t necessarily need any toppings. So here’s how you do it.

♥ 2 eggs ♥ 1 banana ♥ Olive oil

1. Mix two eggs and the banana with a fork or in a mixer.
2. Use a frying pan on low heat, add your cooking oil and pour the batter with a spoon to make small pancakes.
3. Wait a couple of minutes, the first side usually needs long then the second one. And once it’s easy to remove you flip the pancake over.

Perfect for a mid-day snack or maybe even breakfast with your favorite smoothie.

Enjoy!

Back home

Back home

I took a well deserving break in London, and I decided not to write as you may have noticed. I need to enjoy the moment and re-charge, and working on not being ‘online’ all the time. I’ve noticed that all these social media’s, especially snap, instagram and Facebook, which you are suppose to have, are stressing me out. I read about this the other day and it said that it is the routine you’ve made through these apps that make you addicted. For instance, you have to check your phone when you wake up, and it’s part of your morning routine. I tune in to snapchat, instagram and Facebook because I think that I’ve missed something while I was asleep. I take my phone everywhere, it’s become my safety blanket. If I think I’m being noticed or watched out on the street, I take my phone out and act as if I’m scrolling down to read something important. I take it with me to bed, to the bathroom and I can’t remember a day I went without it.

It’s scary, being addicted. Even though we think it’s harmless, I think it’s destroying our image of people today. We strive to be perfect, and we think everything is picture perfect. Then when an obstacle comes we do not know what to do, thinking we are the only once experiencing it. This has made me consider to delete my social media and not being pushed or forced to check it all the time. Maybe this will give me an inner peace.

All you need is:

1. Warm a pan and slice the apples into boats. 2. Warm till they are golden brown and add as much cinnamon and brown sugar as you’d like. 3. Eat them alone or with yogurt – Enjoy!

Weekends never last

Weekends never last

I was babysitting this furry ball this weekend and I must say, even though I love the little energy bomb she is, I now know that I’m so not ready to handle a dog. She is so sweet and innocent but always needing someone to play with and having all the attention – such a beauty queen. I must say that she was quit scared of our cat. Safe to say there was a little whining from the fur ball and a couple of growls from the boss aka our little sweet cat but as long as they held their distance it went fine.

My brother came out for a visit today and because he doesn’t live so far away now. A perfect way for us to make an effort to see each other more. Everyone acting so busy with their job and studying that you almost forget the people who’ve been around you your whole life. It was really good to see him again, and after a hair cut on the house we made some lunch and went from a long walk with Milli. The night sneaked up on us shortly and after 1,5 hours outside it was time to say goodbye.

My evening is also going to an end because I’m feeling way to tired to stay up. So much planned for tomorrow, but we’ll see if I’ll manage it all. Last day off before I have to go back to work on Tuesday so I’m in no way going to stress.

Find your motivation

Find your motivation

Struggling with old and bad habits?

After every season I believe you can do whatever you set your mind to. If you set yourself goals and motivation you can almost do about anything. But we’ve all been in that place where you’re just so sick of trying and trying and not seeing any results – haven’t you? I want to give you some easy tips you can use to get healthy and slender with the right tools and A LOT of motivation.

SIMPLE TIPS TO HELP YOU GET STARTED WITH A NEW AND FRESH DAY, EVERYDAY!

– Increase the amount of vegetables and reduce the amount of carbs for dinner. For me it helped to cut out all pasta, rice and unhealthy bread – this obviously doesn’t work for everyone.
– Always have a water bottle available, both at work and at home.
– Set aside 1 evening in the week where you can enjoy yourself, and feel free to reward yourself with a little dark chocolate but with at least 70 percent cocoa.
– Reduce stress and negative influences. A fit and healthy body starts with a healthy mind!

There are no quick fixes. Living healthy and working out is a lifestyle, NOT a diet.
