Reminiscing over summer memories

Reminiscing over summer memories

It’s been a minute since I’ve written for you. To be honest I don’t know how to start again. But the longer I procrastinated the more I missed it.

The last you heard from me was when Ramadan was ending. I was genuinely sad that such a blessed month was leaving us, and I guess I was scared not to be able to continue on with my new habits after Ramadan had left. I took a 30 day cleanse from social media which I desperately needed and to this day I have still not installed Instagram on my phone – more on that in a later post.

I was one month in to a new job which I love. I now work in retail, a wish of mine came true to be able to work with what is my passion – clothes. Endless amount of clothes have been bought with personal discounts but I’m not complaining, I just have to keep my spending spree in check.

Throughout the summer I worked a lot which was just what I wanted after being home for such a long time with my son. I was also able to enjoy our hot Norwegian summer, and I actually mean hot. Never before have we Scandinavians had such a tropical weather. My mum and I were also in Italy which I will share with you in my coming posts.

That was a bit of a summer update for you even though we’re well into fall now, it being the beginning of October and all.

New memories are being created and a new chapter is upon us. I can’t wait to share my adventures with you again. I promise, it won’t be long until you hear from me again.

Midweek update

Midweek update

I’m starting today off with a warm cup of lemon with honey. I woke up with a little bit of a itching throat and I do not feel like getting sick now. I have to make myself breakfast soon because my stomach does get a little bit upset if I wait too long.

Yesterday was a rainy autumn day but that didn’t stop us from going out. I got to use a new rain cover for the stroller and I came to know that I need a new rain jacket, one that is a bit bigger and longer. Something I will look for today when I’m going shopping with my mum. We walked down to our local shopping center and sat down to eat pancakes and I had one of the best frappes. The little one also got some walking shoes which will make it easier for him to practice.

Yesterday evening we all went out for pizza which was nice. It’s been a while since we’ve been out, and it was actually the first time with our son.

Today will be one of those normal days again. I’m planning on working out, maybe doing a warm up outside and then in the evening I have some alone time with my mum. Nice little surprises like these during the week is what you need once in a while.

Already October

Already October

I can’t believe it’s already October and we only have a few months left of 2017. Where has the time gone? A question I ask myself every single day.

I’ve been pondering the last couple of days what to write but I couldnt find anything worth sharing. I’ve been working on my resume the last days and other then that I’ve just enjoyed being at home. I have to soak it all in before I go back to work, something I’m dreading but also looking forward to.

But this is my favorite time of year. Perfect weather and beautiful colors surrounding us.

Lighted candles and cozy jumpers

Lighted candles and cozy jumpers

It’s been a minute since I’ve been back here. Lately I haven’t really known what to write or share about. My life goes on with the same routine every day. My little one is almost eight months now, and I can’t believe where the time has gone. I only have three months left of this – being a stay at home mum. Even though it can become a bit too much at times I know I’m going to miss it.
Fall is upon us and I can already feel the colder air and the change of colors on the leaves. In my opinion fall is the best time of the year. Getting to snuggle up in cozy jumpers and warm socks. Drinking hot coco while enjoying the early evenings with lighted candles. There is no better time.

All smiles every day

All smiles every day

There is really no reason not to smile when the weekend is just around the corner. I’m spending today with family and I’m going to try to take a break from social media this weekend, except maybe posting once.. or twice.

A little outfit shoot we had the other day. Still trying to be comfortable in front of the camera again. And I’m trying out different editing styles, but I can’t really decide on what I actually like. What do you think?

One week later

One week later

I had to take a minute and regather my strength. I don’t know what happened but a week ago on Friday my body said stop. I had to take a breather and just be. I wasn’t able to do much that day other than to look after myself. I had a headache and felt nauseated throughout the entire day. Luckily with a lot of resting and sleep I was feeling like myself again the next day.

Now a week later, the trees are getting greener and my baby is getting older. I’ve spent most of my days inside because the heat is too real right now. I should be thankful for the wonderful weather we have received but a little cold breeze wouldn’t hurt. I’ve had family over, started reading a new book and figuring out how I can expand my growth on social media. I would love for this blog to be more than just a hobby. But I know I have to give a 110% and unfortunately I don’t have the dedication right now. I guess I don’t know how to managed my time yet, but I’ll get there, hopefully.

Let the weekend come

Let the weekend come

Today has been such a wonderful day. 17 degrees, sunshine with a little cold breeze. We went out for a walk a half hour ago and now the little one is sleeping next to me. I never know when the baby is going to wake up so I have to keep it short. Tomorrow we’re having a little celebration for my mum since she had her birthday a couple of days ago. I’ve already make a cake but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted so I might just make another one. Other than that I’m done with my daily chores, like vacuuming and working out. Now I can sit back and let the weekend come with the good company of my  family.

Happy weekend!

Monday blues

Monday blues

Started my Monday morning off with shuffling snow for an hour. It’s literally been snowing since Friday. At least I can finally see my car again and hopefully also make a successful trip to the supermarket to buy food. I always get so shaky when I have to drive when it’s snowing and icy on the road. Nothing that makes me feel more unease when I don’t have full control over a situation.

I’m debating on whether I should film a video soon because I do miss filming, editing and all that YouTuber stuff. Other then that I still have to check off my ‘to-do’ list. Still some cleaning and house keeping to do, but I don’t mind. It’s actually rather fun when it’s your own home and you see the results.

First autumn day

First autumn day

I’ve been looking at this blank space for a while now. It’s been empty the last couple of weeks – and it’s been empty in my head too. I don’t know how to fill this space. I don’t know how to start even though I’m aching to write again. I want to be an inspiration, share my thoughts and mind with you again.

It’s September 1st, summer is officially over, even the weather can agree on that. It’s windy, it’s cold and rainy. What I have learned is that time is always moving. We cannot stop it even though we want to capture a moment and stay in it. That is why you have to live in the moment. Don’t let it pass you, don’t feel the need to document or capture every other second on a picture. Sometimes it’s better to live and let go.

Day 3: Munich

Day 3: Munich

Made Munich uncertain today with granny. Had a lovely day with her where we went and ate some good Bavarian food and got spoiled rotten with gifts. The weather was great and I finally got to wear my new skirt from H&M.

And these are the lovely gifts I got from her:

Now I have everything I need, now I just need the things I want.
