My goals for 2021

My goals for 2021

Since my last post was all about the things I didn’t achieve in 2020, I wanted to make a new list for 2021. The year started off with a new lock-down periode, at least here in Norway. And I totally still feel like I’m stuck in the middle of December of 2020. I thought it would be beneficial for me to write down some goals for this year. It’s great to have something specific to work towards. We might not be over the pandemic just yet but I can already feel that this year will be better than the last. It has to be! So let’s begin, shall we.

My goals for this year:

  • Learn a new Surah
  • Read more books
  • Get a full time job
  • Have a YouTube schedule
  • Post on IG again
  • Learn the box step when jumping rope
  • Finish a 5k run in 30 minutes

For now this is my list. I struggle to find books I can relate to so if you have any suggestions, please comment down below. I have also started to post on my public Instagram so if you want to check it out I will link my IG here.

Lots of love,

Elizabeth

Reminiscing over summer memories

Reminiscing over summer memories

It’s been a minute since I’ve written for you. To be honest I don’t know how to start again. But the longer I procrastinated the more I missed it.

The last you heard from me was when Ramadan was ending. I was genuinely sad that such a blessed month was leaving us, and I guess I was scared not to be able to continue on with my new habits after Ramadan had left. I took a 30 day cleanse from social media which I desperately needed and to this day I have still not installed Instagram on my phone – more on that in a later post.

I was one month in to a new job which I love. I now work in retail, a wish of mine came true to be able to work with what is my passion – clothes. Endless amount of clothes have been bought with personal discounts but I’m not complaining, I just have to keep my spending spree in check.

Throughout the summer I worked a lot which was just what I wanted after being home for such a long time with my son. I was also able to enjoy our hot Norwegian summer, and I actually mean hot. Never before have we Scandinavians had such a tropical weather. My mum and I were also in Italy which I will share with you in my coming posts.

That was a bit of a summer update for you even though we’re well into fall now, it being the beginning of October and all.

New memories are being created and a new chapter is upon us. I can’t wait to share my adventures with you again. I promise, it won’t be long until you hear from me again.

Back at work & feeling lazy

Back at work & feeling lazy

I’ve been back at work the last two days after having (almost) a one year break. It’s safe to say I was quite nervous on Monday. Luckily I eased myself into it, only working a couple of hours a day and my first ‘customer’ was a college. Yesterday though, I had 2 paying customers. It felt like it went in slow motion, especially the first cut, but I managed to be done in time.

Today I have a day off and even though I feel like I do something ever single day, whether it’s laundry, cleaning or just look after my son, I can’t help to feel lazy. I don’t know why and I wish I didn’t beat myself up over it. It’s like everyone around me is so productive and I’m not even halfway to my goals.

We did manage to create a new office space so hopefully the creativity will just be flowing in this room. I really want to start sewing again reguallary and actually finish pieces I love and would want to wear. I have some huge ideas, I just don’t know how to get them down to paper and where to start. Fixing my serger to the right stitch lengths has also been a battle. I still have to figure out what the right settings are and how in the world I’m going to use it probably.

Wish me luck!

A gold cup of coffee

A gold cup of coffee

Yesterday was a lovely, relaxing Friday. I actually love the beginning of the weekend, starting my Friday of by listening to Surah Al-Kahf. I felt a little bit extra after filming my Sunday video so I pampered up and went out to the playground. My son loves it there and he’s become so active, wanting to walk around everywhere. After an hour there we made our way back home.

His nap was long over due so I tucked him in and started making dinner. In the evening again we made our way to his grandfather aka my father. He always starts of really shy but when he’s warmed up and used to the environment he is his own self – playing, walking and talking.

This was yesterday brunch, sipping a cup of coffee from my new gold mug. My mum wanted to spoil me a little when we were out shopping on Wednesday, and even though I actually didn’t need these cups, they looked so inviting and great for pictures. So I got two and they have both already been in use.

Today I’m thinking about talking a stroll out to the playground again but first I have to edit tomorrows video. I’ll be sharing my tips on how I lost my baby weight and how to start working out again after having a child. After that video I’m done with baby talk for a while and will be back making ‘day in the life’ or fashion/beauty related videos.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Midweek update

Midweek update

I’m starting today off with a warm cup of lemon with honey. I woke up with a little bit of a itching throat and I do not feel like getting sick now. I have to make myself breakfast soon because my stomach does get a little bit upset if I wait too long.

Yesterday was a rainy autumn day but that didn’t stop us from going out. I got to use a new rain cover for the stroller and I came to know that I need a new rain jacket, one that is a bit bigger and longer. Something I will look for today when I’m going shopping with my mum. We walked down to our local shopping center and sat down to eat pancakes and I had one of the best frappes. The little one also got some walking shoes which will make it easier for him to practice.

Yesterday evening we all went out for pizza which was nice. It’s been a while since we’ve been out, and it was actually the first time with our son.

Today will be one of those normal days again. I’m planning on working out, maybe doing a warm up outside and then in the evening I have some alone time with my mum. Nice little surprises like these during the week is what you need once in a while.

Already October

Already October

I can’t believe it’s already October and we only have a few months left of 2017. Where has the time gone? A question I ask myself every single day.

I’ve been pondering the last couple of days what to write but I couldnt find anything worth sharing. I’ve been working on my resume the last days and other then that I’ve just enjoyed being at home. I have to soak it all in before I go back to work, something I’m dreading but also looking forward to.

But this is my favorite time of year. Perfect weather and beautiful colors surrounding us.

Autumn flowers light up my day

Autumn flowers light up my day

The weekend is upon us and even though I’ve had Friday feeling since Tuesday, I’m definitely going to enjoy this weekend. Tomorrow I’ll have a couple of hours to myself which hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy to the fullest. Hair appointment, coffee, running errands – well, running is the last thing I want to do on my day ‘off’.

Fresh flowers for the weekend is starting to become a priority even though I’ve been so lucky to get the last couple of flowers from my wonderful and loving mum. It does something with your mood when you wake up and see beautiful fresh colors shine throughout your living room.

My sons cousin also has his first birthday tomorrow so I have to get something for him. Even though I have no idea what that’s going to be.. I guess I have to brainstorm a little. And tomorrow evening we’ll be visiting him and his family.

Have a great weekend, hope it treats you well!

A little update

A little update

Hello beauties!

(Do you like me saying hello or getting right to the point in my blog posts? Let me know in the comment box below).

I haven’t updated you with a real “what’s going on in my life” post in a while. The thing is actually that I’m mostly working right now and every second of spear time I have I spend on WordPress or YouTube! I really love it. I get to do what I’m passionate about at work and at home. Other than that I try to squeeze in a workout or two here and there. It’s actually gone pretty well, I must say, and I think I’m going to start with a vegetarian week tomorrow. Meaning I will not eat any, and I mean any, meat or fish for a whole week. Sounds easy, but I think it’s going to be rather hard. I love myself a steak or some nice fried fish, but I think I will manage. We’ll see, I will keep you updated.

Now today, my only free day off this week, I did some editing on my new video coming up on Friday, and had my daily workout. Now I know it’s not Wednesday but I’m just so exited and have so much energy that I just wanted to share what I did for my workout.
